Project Spotlight is back!

Project Spotlight is our community support program designed to discover worthwhile projects in each area that Beacon serves. Our hope is to be able to support community projects both large and small, and bring awareness to the many good things happening in our communities every day.

How does it work?

  1. Nominate time frame: Day after our annual meeting (mid-March) -May 31
  2. Voting starts July 1-July 31
  3. Winners chosen and funds distributed ($1,750 split between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each of our 16 communities)

FAQs

No! Project Spotlight isn’t just for Beacon members – we want everyone in the communities we serve to have the chance to participate! So nominate your favorite organization, charity, or community project now! Just keep in mind when you are nominating your favorite organization, only projects that are based in or directly serve one of our 16 designated communities in Indiana are eligible to participate in Project Spotlight.

To be eligible to participate in Project Spotlight, the nominee must be a charitable organization, not-for-profit or local community project that is based in or directly serves one of the following 16 communities: Allen County, Cass County, DeKalb County, Fulton County, Grant County, Huntington County, Jackson County, Kosciusko County, Lawrence County, Marshall County, Miami County, North Manchester, Orange County,  Rush County, Wabash County, and Washington County.

While an organization’s reach may go across several counties, each organization can only be nominated and voted upon in one county, not across several.

No. One nomination is all that it takes to be entered in the voting process.

Spread the word! If you are a part of a community organization, or have a charity that you think is worth supporting, let them know they can submit their idea to Project Spotlight.
