Rochester, Ind. (June 11, 2025) – Beacon Credit Union Member Center Managers Brian Perez (Logansport Market St.), Julie Shriver (Rochester Rouch Place Dr.), and Erica Rude (Rochester Main St.) presented at a Healthy Families of Area Five all staff meeting in Rochester, which included team members from the Cass, Fulton, Miami, and Wabash Counties’ Healthy Families program.

Healthy Families of Area Five is a free program that supports parents by providing information and resources that are available to them. The organization’s goal is to help reduce the stress of parenting and give children a healthy start in life.

“One of the most rewarding parts of our jobs is getting out in the community and building relationships,” Rude said. “We are thankful Healthy Families of Area Five invited us to present on such an important topic.”

She also added Beacon Credit Union looks forward to doing similar events in the future.

The Beacon Credit Union Member Center Managers focused on the importance of building credit, the makeup of a credit score, and hardship preparation.

“Financial literacy is something Beacon Credit Union finds very important and we want to help our communities any way we can,” the Rochester Main St. Member Center Manager stated.  “By sharing this information with the Healthy Families team they can now share the knowledge with the families they work with on a daily basis.”
