Please be aware of an impersonation scam in which fraudsters pose as Beacon Credit Union representatives. These scammers claim that your account or funds are at risk and instruct you to send money to a “safe account” for protection.
This is a scam. Beacon Credit Union will never ask you to wire money, send funds through Zelle, Venmo, or make any type of transfer to another account in order to “protect” your funds.
If anyone contacts you with such a request—hang up immediately. Do not send any money or share personal information. Instead, call Beacon Credit Union directly at (800) 762-3136 or visit your nearest Member Center to verify any concerns.
