Macy Food Pantry Check PresentationRochester, Ind. (October 18, 2024) – Beacon Credit Union recently donated $750 to Macy Food Pantry.

“The Macy Food Pantry serves hundreds of people every month, while also providing backpack bags filled with food to local kids in need.  They are open the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 10 am-12 pm & 5 pm-7 pm.  The food pantry started in 2016 with only a few clients and has grown over the past 8 years,” stated Erica Rude, Rochester Main St. Member Center Manager.

“Visiting the food pantry and seeing all the work and dedication the volunteers have put into it is humbling,” said Erica. “Amy Eckrote expressed her passion was feeding people and it shows.  I am grateful we were able to help in this way,” Erica exclaimed.

“Visiting the Macy Food Pantry was informative and very humbling. I feel that Amy and her group of volunteers are not only serving the need of nourishment to those who need a little extra help, but also the need of fellowship with one another,” Rochester Rouch Place Dr. Member Center Manager Julie Shriver stated. “By doing this, they have formed a network that helps the community as a whole. I am grateful that we were able to support this collaboration of people helping people,” Julie exclaimed.
