Auburn, IN (October 7) – Beacon Credit Union was proud to support the DeKalb County Free Fall Fair, held September 27 through October 3, through a $1,500 donation and the dedicated volunteer efforts of numerous Beacon employees.

Throughout the week, Beacon employees volunteered their time at the 4-H food stand, serving up some of the fair’s favorites, including famous pork burgers, baked potatoes and walking tacos. Employees also helped run the 4-H auction and supported activities at the outdoor entertainment stage throughout the week.

The DeKalb County Free Fall Fair is a longtime tradition that brings together current and past residents for a weeklong celebration filled with family, friends and community traditions. From the famous fair donuts to Kids Day and the many activities throughout the week, the fair provides opportunities for people of all ages to create lasting memories.

“The DeKalb County Free Fall Fair is a reunion for current and past residents of the county,” said Auburn W. 7th St. Member Center Manager, Dawn Pruitt. “To see people of all ages come downtown for a weeklong celebration is fantastic. There are so many traditions that continue to run strong, and the Fair Association does a spectacular job of ensuring visitors can make memories with their family and friends. To be a small part of that is very satisfying.”
