The IRS has clarified one of the most puzzling matters: What should you do if a stimulus check was issued to a deceased person?
On May 6, the IRS added new language to its FAQ page for Economic Impact Payments, informing the country that deceased individuals are not eligible for payments. The IRS states any checks issued to deceased people should be sent back or repaid.
