Wabash, IN. (April 10, 2026)Beacon Credit Union is proud to announce the addition of Matt Lambert as Chief Lending Officer, bringing extensive leadership experience and a strong track record in financial services to the organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Operations Management from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

In this role, Lambert will lead Beacon’s enterprise lending strategy, overseeing credit risk, portfolio performance, and long-term growth across all lending lines. He will guide statewide teams in consumer, mortgage, commercial, and agricultural lending, reinforcing Beacon’s commitment to strong credit quality, member-focused service, and responsible capital deployment.

Lambert joins Beacon Credit Union following an accomplished career in the financial industry. Most recently, he served for 18 years as Chief Executive Officer of Encompass Credit Union, where he led enterprise strategy, lending, credit risk, operations, and financial performance for a multi-branch regional institution. His earlier experience includes progressive leadership roles such as Branch Manager, Vice President of Lending, and Chief Financial Officer across financial institutions ranging from $50 million to $1.2 billion in assets.

Lambert resides in Atlanta, Indiana, and is the father of a Purdue University junior. He has long-standing ties to the communities he serves and is actively engaged in leadership development and industry initiatives. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and spending time outdoors.
