PLYMOUTH, Ind. (March 14, 2024) – Beacon Credit Union recently donated $1,000 to Cultivate Food Rescue.

Cultivate Food Rescue is an organization devoted to ending hunger in communities in northern Indiana. The organization acquires excess, quality food and redistribute it to school children, food pantries, shelters, and more.

“Donating to Cultivate provides a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose,” Beacon Credit Union Plymouth Member Center Manager Melissa Owen said. “Knowing that your contribution directly supports local efforts to alleviate hunger creates a deep sense of satisfaction.”

The Member Center Manager also said the organization inspires her because of how they demonstrate their dedication to supporting local communities.

Owen also said donating to Cultivate Food Rescue grants a positive change within the community and fosters a strong connection between the Member Center and the local community.

“Giving to Cultivate brings a sense of joy and fulfillment, knowing that you’re part of something meaningful and impactful.,” she said.
