Seymour, IN (June 25) – Beacon Credit Union recently presented a $1,000 donation to the Maverick Minute Foundation to support its mission of promoting farm
safety awareness and education throughout the community.

The donation was made in recognition of the importance of farm safety and the Foundation’s efforts to help prevent future tragedies through education and outreach.
The organization was established following a devastating farming accident on June 23, 2025, that claimed the lives of a four-year-old child and his great-grandmother.

As a financial institution that serves many agricultural members and borrowers, Beacon Credit Union understands the vital role farming plays in local communities and
the importance of safe practices around farm equipment.

“Farm safety is a topic that impacts many families throughout our communities,” said Amy Steitz, Seymour Member Center Manager at Beacon Credit Union.
“The Maverick Minute Foundation is helping educate individuals of all ages about the risks associated with farm equipment and the importance of safety awareness.
We are honored to support an organization working to make a difference and help prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.”

The Foundation’s message resonates with many community members who have connections to agriculture through family, friends, or their own farming operations.
Through education and advocacy, the organization seeks to create safer environments for those living and working around farm equipment.
