The health and safety of our members and employees has always been taken very seriously. In regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to share some of the actions Beacon Credit Union is taking to help protect our members and employees.
Our Management Team has been closely monitoring guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and local health departments in our regions. We have updated our Business Continuity Pandemic Plan, validated operational technologies, and identified vital staff to handle the enhancements of our remote servicing capabilities.
3/30/20 – Beacon Credit Union Saturday Hours Temporarily Suspended Effective April 4, 2020
Beacon Credit Union will be temporarily closed on Saturdays, effective April 4, as we work to safeguard members and employees from COVID-19. We will be using this day to deep clean and sanitize our offices so we can safely rotate our staff. We are committed to our employee’s wellbeing, and this staff rotation is the best course of action for maintaining the health, safety, and efficiency of our employees while keeping the promise to serve our members and communities.
Weekday hours will remain unchanged and are as follows:
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
3/23/20 – Drive-thru service will remain open – Governor Holcomb issued a Stay at Home Executive Order directing all non-essential businesses and operations to temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. The order is in effect from March 25 to April 7. Financial institutions are included as an essential business and Beacon Credit Union will continue to provide service to its membership.
3/19/20 – Beginning Friday, March 20th, all branch lobbies will be temporarily closed until further notice. Our drive-thru services will continue to be open with regular business hours.
As we all are trying to adapt during this time of uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, We have made the difficult decision to take the precautionary step of temporarily closing our lobbies to help protect our members and employees. This is in line with many other financial institutions and service industries to further protect our communities from the spreading of COVID-19.
