WABASH, Ind. – Beacon Credit Union launches its 16th year of Project Spotlight. The Credit Union created the program to inspire individuals and organizations to connect and serve those living and working around them. Last year, Beacon Credit Union received over 20,000 votes for the 137 nominated organizations.
Beacon Credit Union invites everyone in the community (not just Beacon members) to nominate worthwhile charitable organizations, community projects, and local non-for-profits they believe deserve financial support starting March 16 until May 31. Nominations can only be submitted on the Credit Union’s website, www.beaconcu.org, we will not be accepting paper ballots.
Project Spotlight is dedicated to recognizing organizations and community projects that demonstrate servancy, integrity, and positive energy each day. Through this initiative, Beacon Credit Union aims to highlight and support the efforts of local nonprofits and community groups that are making a meaningful difference.
There will be winners from all 16 communities where Beacon Credit Union has a full-service Member Center. The project that receives the most votes, in each community, will receive $1,000 from Beacon Credit Union. Second place will receive $500, and there will be a third place in each community randomly picked to receive $250. The total amount of money donated to charitable organizations by Beacon Credit Union through Project Spotlight will be $28,000.
For the past 95 years Beacon Credit Union is proud to be part of all of the communities we serve and are enthusiastic about joining other organizations committed to Hoosiers and their communities.
