Seymour IN (January 22) – Beacon Credit Union’s Seymour Member Center is proud to support the Jackson County Hidden Voice event, a unique and entertaining fundraiser benefiting organizations supported by United Way of Jackson County.
Now in its second year, the Hidden Voice event has quickly become a standout community gathering. Spearheaded by Elizabeth Copeland, Community Impact Director for United Way of Jackson County, the event combines creativity, connection, and purpose. Community members attend a dinner and live show dressed in elaborate costumes, while audience members vote and guess who is behind each disguise, adding an element of mystery and fun to the evening, all for a meaningful cause.
Emily Engelking, Engagement Director for United Way of Jackson County, plays an instrumental role in bringing the event to life. Alongside Copeland, Engelking works year-round to rally volunteers, secure donations and sponsorships, and engage the community in events that help advance United Way’s mission.
According to Engelking, funds raised through Hidden Voice directly support United Way’s 62 Fund, which provides micro-grants to smaller local organizations making a big impact. These grants focus on initiatives that promote healthy living, youth opportunities, financial security, and community resiliency throughout Jackson County.
“Our Seymour team is proud to support events like Hidden Voice that bring our community together in such a fun and meaningful way. Knowing these funds will directly help local organizations makes this support even more impactful,” said Seymour Member Center Manager, Amy Steitz.
Beacon Credit Union is honored to support United Way’s efforts and the Hidden Voice event, recognizing the vital role it plays in uplifting local organizations and strengthening the fabric of the community.
