AUBURN, Ind. (January 22, 2025) – Beacon Credit Union recently donated $500 to DeKalb Winter Guard.

“The DeKalb Winter Guard is an indoor performance group comprised of thirty-five students in grades seven through twelve, who are passionate about performing arts. Through a combination of color guard, music, theatre, and dance, students learn the importance of hard work, collaboration and sportsmanship, while discovering the joy of artistic expression. This season, the team will compete in 7 performances across the state January through March,” Auburn-Grandstaff Member Center Manager Jessica Christian said.

“Our two Auburn Member Centers felt it important to support the DeKalb Winter Guard as this a growing competitive team that teaches some of the same core values our organization believes in such as Loyalty, Collaboration, Effort, Servancy, and Positive Energy,” Christian explained. “By supporting these young athletes and artists in our community, we are developing relationships and demonstrating that Beacon not only strives to represent those Core Values, but recognizes and rewards those organizations that exhibit them as well,” Christian exclaimed.
