Auburn, IN (March 4) –Beacon Credit Union is proud to support the DeKalb Winter Guard, an indoor performance program comprised of students in grades 7–12 who are passionate about the performing arts.
The DeKalb Winter Guard has experienced exciting growth, expanding from one varsity team to now including both a varsity and junior varsity team made up of middle and high school students. Through a dynamic combination of color guard, music, theatre, and dance, students develop skills in hard work, collaboration, and sportsmanship while discovering the joy of artistic expression.
This season, the team will compete in seven performances across the state from January through March, showcasing their talent and dedication.
Beacon representatives recently attended an invitational hosted by the school, which welcomed approximately 46 schools from across Indiana. The event highlighted the dedication and creativity of students statewide and provided an opportunity to celebrate the impact of performing arts programs in local communities.
“It is important to support our future generations and encourage the freedom of self-expression, teamwork, and collaboration,” said Jessi Christian, Auburn Grandstaff Member Center Manager.
