Area Five Agency on Aging and Community Services

Area Five Agency provides programs and services that benefit low income, disadvantaged, and older persons. Our vision at Area Five is to improve the lives of the people in our community by empowering them through education, programming, and the elimination of barriers. We serve a six-county area including Cass, Fulton, Miami, Howard, Tipton, and Wabash. We have programs that assist persons with disabilities and older persons to remain safe and independent in the home/ community setting of their choice with services such as meal delivery, personal care, medical equipment, and more. We have programs that assist community members with financial needs, education, information and community resources, health and wellness programs, and more. We are a social services organization operating since 1974 with a passion to serve our community.

Fulton County Bark Park c/o Friends of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department

The mission of the Fulton County Bark Park is to serve the citizens and canines of Fulton County by providing a safe, clean, and friendly community park to the public. A park for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a controlled environment under the supervision of their owners.

Habitat for Humanity

Fulton County Habitat for Humanity Inc.is a local affiliate of a national and international organization which builds and rehabilitates homes for those who lack decent housing. Volunteers donate labor, materials, and money as a Christian Ministry.  Because labor is donated, the cost of constructing and rehabilitating homes is kept low.

Fulton County Youth Center – The Outlet

The Fulton County Youth Center is faith-based, youth-driven, and community-minded and strives to provide a safe, structured environment for all Fulton County area youth. Through community partnerships and programming our hope is to encourage teens and preteens to make positive life choices which will not only impact their lives but also the community in which they live.

Junior Achievement Serving Fulton County

Junior Achievement’s proven lessons in financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship are shown to positively impact the lives of young people. These lessons align with national and state educational standards and are delivered to millions of students across the country with the help of our education partners and volunteers from the local community.

Psi Iota Xi, Eta Mu Chapter

The women of Psi Iota Xi Eta Mu chapter work all year long to raise funds for multiple community projects, including a student art banner competition that beautifies the downtown in the summer, helping redevelop the Times Theater, providing books to every kindergarten student in the county once a month, providing money for public library and school literacy efforts, bringing low-cost cultural arts opportunities to the citizens and a FREE summer speech clinic for any county child that needs additional services during the summer months. Fundraisers help pay but the chapter must also rely on grants to provide these community services that touch thousands of people each year.

United Ministries Outreach

The purpose of United Ministries is to give assistance in the form of food or funds to Fulton County residents in need, keeping in mind God’s purposes.

Applications for assistance are located at

-The Cross Church, 3rd and Main Streets, Rochester

-Fulton County Library, Rochester branch

-Community Resource Center, 7th and Pontiac Streets, Rochester.

They can be returned completed to The Cross Church Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10-3:30

Food pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday
