Heartland Payment Systems Computer Breach Puts Users of Visa and MasterCard At Risk Nationwide

A computer breach at Heartland Payment Systems has put a large number of credit card account numbers nationwide at risk, including a number of members at Beacon Credit Union using the Beacon Visa Check Card.
Heartland is continuing to provide data to Beacon Credit Union on which account numbers where compromised in the incident. If we identify your Beacon card number, your card will be blocked and a new card will be issued. We will also issue you a letter with more details.
Beacon's Computers Were Not Compromised
The access did not involve Beacon Credit Union's computer systems and your personal and account information on file at Beacon was not compromised. Heartland Payment Systems provides transaction data service for a number of restaurants and retailers in Beacon's market area. The criminals gained access to data on Heartland's systems - not at Beacon Credit Union.
